It is recognised that the local churches are a key factor in networking both urban and rural communities; they have been proven to be essential in the practical and spiritual support of the people. They can also be a catalyst for local development, if envisioned in the wider picture of seeing the whole community impacted.

We are committed to assisting these churches when the opportunity is given. This is primarily by bringing encouragement and prayer support, with some training and equipping. Teams that travel from the UK can have a variety of skills, and these are offered where appropriate. However, we choose not to come as ‘experts’ but rather as ‘friends in Christ’, to come alongside brothers and sisters and to learn from each other.

We do not presume to have any governmental role in the churches we visit, but honour the local and national leaders.
